America's favorite nerd, Bill Gates retires from Microsoft today to focus on philanthropy. He co-founded Microsoft in 1975 with his partner Paul Allen. Gates is the third richest person in the WORLD, following Warren Buffet and Mexican businessman, Carlos Slim.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has given billions to charity. This cat is really digging into his net worth to help a LOT of people. Thanks Bill. Even though I have often cursed you when my computer crashes...blue screen, just all jacked up...you're a solid dude.
Bill Gates will continue to chair Microsoft's board of directors and remain the company's largest shareholder so his money making days are definitely not over.
